10 Best Dog Movies

Spending a lot of time at home during this season? Are you bored out of your mind? We have just the thing for you. Here is a list of the top 10 dog movies to watch with your pup while you are both in quarantine. Some are classics, some movies are cartoons (perfect for the kiddos), and some are a little on the sad side. But they all have one thing in common. DOGS and the effect they have on your life. Here they are.

 

Top 10 Dog Movies:

1. Lady and the Tramp. This classic Disney movie features a pampered pooch and a city mutt and their adventures when their paths cross. Plus it has the unforgettable spaghetti scene. 

2. Because of Winn-Dixie. This movie is based on the book by Kate DiCamillo. It's about a 10-year-old girl who adopts a dog named Winn-Dixie that helps her get more comfortable in her small town.

3. Marley and Me. Marley and Me showcases the many struggles of being a new dog parent while John and Jenny attempt to raise their mischievous lab puppy. This one makes you appreciate your pup and the adventures you have had together. 

4. A Dog's Purpose. A newer film, but this touching movie is guaranteed to bring you to tears while taking you on the journey of a dog's reincarnations, showing everyone what his true purpose in life is.

5. Eight Below. Brutal cold forces two Antarctic explorers to leave their team of sled dogs behind as they fend for their survival. An incredible story about some incredible dogs. 

6.Turner and Hooch. The story of neat freak (Tom Hanks) and his partner Hooch, who may have a bit of a drooling problem will make you laugh and warm your heart. It's definitely one of our all-time favorite dog movies!

7. Old Yeller. This movie is a true classic about a boy, his dog, and their strong bond. Old Yeller is a story of how we come to love our pets, the responsibility they give us and how we deal with their loss. Just be warned, if you haven't seen it yet, bring the tissue box because it is a real tear jerker.  

8. 101 Dalmatians. Another fun cartoon, featuring some extremely adorable puppies. This familiar story is one that will keep you in suspense and make you laugh out loud, even if you've seen the movie before.

9. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. This one is great for both dogs and cat lovers. Three pets (Chance, a young dog unfamiliar with the world; Shadow, an aging, wise dog; and Sassy, a snobby cat) are left behind when their family goes on vacation. Unsure of what happened, the animals set out on a quest to find their family. 

10. Airbud. The first installment of many fun movies, This goofy but fun story is about a golden retriever who also happens to possess all-star basketball skills.
