It is National Pet Month, so we are going to be dropping a couple of tips, tricks, and ideas your way through our website, emails, and social media on how to spoil your pup this month.
One of the easiest ways to spoil your pup is through treats and toys, which are great! We love new toys and treats. But we wanted to think outside of the box this month.
Something I recently did was hire a dog walker! I know what you’re thinking, “Seriously? I can walk my dog any time.” Well that’s not true. Not while you’re at work or away from the house. I was worried that with my job, I wasn’t giving my dog enough socialization time. So I looked into it. And if you are in the Hill Country Area, then I highly recommend Cowabunga Pet Sitting! There are a number of services she offers, but I went with a weekly 45 minute walk. My dog is not only getting an extra walk, she is also receiving mental and social stimulation. Leilani and her team will mix things up! She will walk my dog in my neighborhood, she might take her downtown to walk Main Street, or take her to the dog park and walk and play around with other pups. Not to mention the extra attention and treats. My pup is getting socialization with people and other dogs that she wouldn’t normally receive.
One of my favorite things about Cowabunga Pet Sitting is that after every walk/ visit, I get an email update with pictures and a description of what they did. It is so fun to see how happy my pup is when the Cowabunga team visits. Sometimes, she will even stop by Dogologie to say “Hi” to everyone.
Hiring a dog walker was one of the best things I ever did. I know my dog is safe with Cowabunga and she’s having the time of her life. I’m so glad I decided to spoil her with extra walks this month. But let’s be real, I’m going to keep my weekly schedule for as long as I can.
